☕top takeaway Coffee tip
If you just want a quick, cheap coffee, there are two surprisingly good options:
Both are much cheaper than cafés and perfect if you just need something quick on the go.

For most things, you’ll end up going between Billa and Lidl in Razlog.
Billa has a wider selection and more imported goods
Lidl is cheaper and great for everyday basics
Bansko Sunday Market
One of the best ways to experience real local life in Bansko is the Sunday market—it’s a weekly ritual for both locals and long-term visitors.
There are actually two markets happening at the same time:
🥬 Farmers’ Market (the main one)
Held near the town centre/old town, this is where local farmers and villagers come to sell their produce.
You’ll find:
It’s the kind of place where you’ll see local баби (grandmas) selling things they’ve grown themselves. Prices are good, and the quality is often better than supermarkets.
👉 Tip: Go early (7–9am) for the best selection—by midday, a lot of the good stuff is gone.
🧺 Flea Market (just nearby)
A short walk away (near the park), there’s a second market with more random stuff:
It’s more of a browse-and-wander vibe, and worth checking after the food market.⏰ When & Where

They list a range of furnished flats—studios up to multi-bedroom units—with prices often starting around €350–€650 per month, depending on size and location. Contracts are formal and suitable for seasonal living or remote work stays, and many apartments come with basics like internet, washing machines, and kitchen facilities. It’s a good option if you want a more “home base” feel in the heart of town without dealing with short-term holiday rates.
